Phu Quoc Island was the most searched Vietnamese destination by Eastern European tourists in recent months, with searches increasing 113% year-on-year, according to online travel platform Agoda.

Hanoi ranked second, followed by Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and Nha Trang, based on searches made on Agoda between Aug. 15 to Sept. 30 for check-ins between October and November compared to the same period last year.

According to Agoda, Phu Quoc is loved by tourists thanks to convenient direct flights and natural landscape.

Vietnam's largest island was named the most beautiful in Asia this year by readers of American magazine Condé Nast Traveler.

The island received 1.2 million foreign arrivals between January and September, up 65.8% year-on-year and surpassing this year's target of 1 million.

From mid-October 2025 to April 2026, Phu Quoc is set to welcome numerous flights from Russia and the CIS amid a sharp rise in travel demand from these markets.

The increase in European interest aligns with official data from the General Statistics Office, which reports that European arrivals to Vietnam climbed nearly 35% in the first nine months of 2025.

In the third quarter alone, Vietnam welcomed 568,370 European tourists, up 38% from the previous quarter and 60% year-on-year.
